Frigate

Sea

A medium-sized warship (about 3,000–7,000 tonnes), smaller and cheaper than a destroyer, often specialised in hunting submarines and escorting other ships. Frigates form the core of many mid-sized navies.
They patrol sea lanes, protect trade and take part in international anti-piracy missions.
